NEWSHalford Hewitt Cup 2024

The draw for this year's Halford Hewitt Cup, which takes place on 11th April, has given Old Citizens golfers an interesting opponent in the first round. This year we face the challenge of Chigwell with a tee-off time of 11.50 am. Although not perhaps one of the very strongest schools to be drawn against of the 64 entrants, it will be a good challenge for the Old Citizens in a competitive but friendly top competition. We hope to field our best ten available players on the day. A win would give us a match with the winner of the Bedford versus St Paul's game. On the HH website it states that "Wykehamist Golfers are 100 years old", it is a pity our youngsters are not playing them no matter how spritely they are!!!
